Triratna Bury St Edmunds – a coronavirus update

In response to yesterday’s briefing by the Prime Minister we have decided to suspend the Wednesday night Buddhist classes at the Friends’ Meeting House and any planned events at Vajrasana until at least the end of April.

The classes are closed but our connections remain intact. At present those connections and the sense of mutual support they nurture will be needed more than ever. We can all find new ways of staying in touch, supporting each other’s practice, and keeping our community alive.

If you are new to our meetings and are interested in what a Buddhist response to these extraordinary times looks like, you are very welcome to join us online and take whatever you find helpful into your own life.

We will be posting further information as well as developing the means of practising together, so please keep checking our online spaces regularly: our website, public Facebook page and private Facebook group.

A central aspect of the Buddha’s teaching is that of the interconnectedness of all things. These circumstances are revealing more clearly than ever the significance of bringing a spirit of awareness and kindness to our lives and relations.

Sending metta to all.
